Death Registration Booking
Any death which takes place in Scotland should be registered within 8 days.
We cannot register a death which did not take place in Scotland.
Please ensure you press submit and can view the booking confirmation screen at the end of the booking process.
You are booking a telephone appointment with a registrar who will call you to take the information required on the day/time you book.
You will not attend the Registration Office in person.
The telephone appointment should only be booked once you have received an initial email or call from the registration service confirming medical staff have emailed a Medical Certificate Cause of Death to registrars.city@edinburgh.gov.uk
